Walkers meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month, with an optional pub lunch at the end.
The walks are slightly longer and more demanding than for the Strollers.
Any volunteers to lead future walks are most welcome.
It can be done as a shared activity: just let Martin know.

LAST WALK:
September – Aquadrome.
Gillian led a small group starting from the Café in the Park.
The small group set off from the aquadrome cafe and picked up the canal path heading
towards Stockers Farm Road. It was a warm day, bright sunshine and blue skies -
perfect for a morning walk. From the lock at Stockers Farm Road we headed towards
Harefield Road. There was a shortish section of verge walking before branching off into
Woodcock Hill Cemetary towards Fieldways Farm. Beautiful horses on either side. From
here we followed the London Loop (section 13) which led across undulating, open fields
to Hill End and Mitchell’s Tea Cafe (not open). We then joined the Hillingdon Trail to
Stockwell Farm and lock. Here we rejoined the canal path heading back towards the
Aquadrome. We branched off to take advantage of the views across Stockers Lake - a
local nature reserve with hides from which to view the birdlife. Then back for 12.15pm in
time for lunch at the cafe.
