From November to March we meet in the Coach and Horses on Croxley Green to share the work we have done and to set the theme for the next month. The theme for December/January is the shape of trees using any medium. We will meet Wednesday January 14th 2026 between 2 and 4 to discuss our efforts and to have lunch beforehand in the pub at 1pm. If you are new to the group and want to check us out, please turn up.
Between April and October, if you want to spend a couple of hours on the last Wednesday afternoon of the month 2 til 4. sketching outdoors and finishing with a cuppa or something stronger together, please get in touch with me, Stella. As a group we've been sketching mainly around the Croxley Green area and future locations will remain reasonably local such as the Aquadrome, the Chess riverbank, the canal towpath, Chenies.
The format the afternoons takes is a short meet and greet, then settling down to sketching, until 3 30 with " a show and tell chat "as it were, over a drink.
Although I have started this group, I'd like to mention that I am not an art teacher-but the positive and constructive feedback members can give each other after the sketching session is encouraging and valuable.
Most members have cars and there is the offer of a lift if needed.
Bring a stool and weather appropriate clothes and the medium of your choice.
