Next Meeting
J A N Lunch
Thurs 8th Jan at 12pm
All Saints Church Hall
The Food & Nutrition Group enjoys a variety of activities including themed lunches, outings and speakers. For our lunches we each bring a dish, often using a new recipe, and we discuss and exchange ideas. We have had themes such as Foods of Our Younger Days, Vegetarian Food, Foods of the World, Harvest and WW1 Remembrance.
We usually meet in All Saints Church Hall but on occasions we will take our lunch out into the church gardens. We have also met in one of our own gardens or Stone's Orchard.
Our outings have included a tour of Redbournbury Watermill, demonstrations in Lakeland Store, a tour of United Biscuits, visits to Kathy Brown's Garden with a talk on edible flowers, a visit to BBC Good Food Exhibition and lunch out at West Herts College Restaurant. We have also had visiting speakers talking about coffee and chocolate.
