There are vacancies in the Engineering Heritage group which is a joint group with Rickmansworth U3A and a number of the Watford U3As. It was formed about 12 years ago and meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 2pm in the hall of Our Lady Catholic Church at the bottom of Scots Hill. We have lectures on a variety of Engineering and Industrial Heritage. We also organise one or two outings during the summer.
The talk at the March 8th meeting for example was be by one of our members on “Rails around the Isle of Man” which covered the development of the trains and trams on the island and includes many types of transport in the island’s history.
Members of Croxley U3A are very welcome to join this group. For further details contact Chris Hillier
