CURRENT AFFAIRS GROUP
We normally meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 14:00 in St Oswald's Church Hall - Side Room.
It’s rather like BBC’s Question Time. The panel may not have been told about the topics for the meeting, but they’ll have little trouble in predicting what will come up. And so, for the most part, that is how it is at our sessions. But all our members are encouraged to bring newspaper cuttings, reports, short presentations, or even videos on topics they have found interesting, informative, or even objectionable!
Our discussions are well informed (usually!), balanced and open, with a mix of viewpoints, in a friendly atmosphere where disagreements are polite and not allowed to become personal. We meet in the side room of St Oswalds Church Hall, on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 14:00 to 16:00, with welcome refreshments provided by members part way through.
